Some images from her 1st B-day party

Guests included: Frank & Ardelle, Grandma Blondie & Grandpa Baldy (Lehner G'parents), G'ma Kitten (Linda), Uncle Micah, Aunt Sarah, Cousins Vera & Simone, Aunt Carrie, Uncle Daniel, Pat & Angelique.

Sadie was nap-free from 12:00 noon until her bedtime at 7:00 - a new personal record. Oh, and she likes cake.

A few photos & video clips of the event:

Truckin'

Sadie still needs some support, but she's about ready to start, well, truckin'.

Tasting the cat

She also loves cats. I'm not convinced that they love her as much as she loves them. I'm told in addition to being soft, cats taste nice too. I do not have firsthand knowledge. That's just what I'm told.

Babysitters galore

She loves kids... and kids seem to love her too.

Scooting & Clapping

Sadie is now mobile. Scooting and Clapping are among her favorite things to do.

Likes: Cats, kids, tongue wagging...

...water, scooting, toys, babbling, and NOT going to bed (there is too much to do)!

The Pacific, whipped cream, and more.

Family Lehner got to enjoy a California vacation recently. It was a great time with family and friends... and Sadie checked a few more "firsts" off of her list. First, the photo tour of our trip. Then keep on scrolling for the firsts.

First #1: TO THE PACIFIC!

First #2: Whipped Cream

What Happens when Dad is in charge of packing.

Sadie has now joined the teeth club. Thus, she drools lots and lots. Often she will need a shirt change part way through the day. Dad didn't think of this when he packed that day. The photos show the make-shift outfit: too large t-shirt complemented by a lovely pink headband functioning as a belt.

Dad isn't allowed to pack all that often.

Hygiene is fun! (no really, she loves it)

Her personality is oozing out...

Sadie has been insisting on pulling her own weight. I've given her a position at my office as a research assistant. She's full of zeal, to say the least.

Law Office

The month of April has come and gone ... without a new post. Why? Kristel has been teaching, we've been landscaping, and my little law office is chugging along.

She's ticklish, and has a lot to say.

Lately, we in the Lehner household have discovered that young Sadie, on the eve of her six month birthday, has preferences. If you do not have the next bite of mashed bananas and rice cereal ready in prompt fashion, she will let you know. If she thinks what you're doing is funny, she will let you know. If she is tired, she will let you know. And of course, if she would like a visit or some chow in the night ... you guessed it ... she will let you know. In this video, can you guess how she feels about having her feet kissed?
